Capital One Lounge in Las Vegas: Everything You Need to Know About the New Airport Oasis

Capital One finally launches its new lounge!

Okay, let’s be real, airports are not usually the most relaxing part of a trip. What pains me is the overpriced food, noisy environment, and uncomfortable waits until I board. But more recently I have been trying to level up my travel experience be leveraging travel credit cards. One of my main go-to cards has now become my Capital One Venture X card. It has a lot of perks like the TSA Precheck credit, which is such a blessing as silly as it sounds to not have to take off my shoes and a light jacket. It also gives me two different kinds of airport lounge access which is another main reason I got this card. There are plenty of more perks that I will detail in a separate blog post but what’s cool is that Capital One is not only investing in the travel card space but also making their own lounges. Which brings me to today’s topic.

The brand-new Capital One Lounge at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas is finally open! Honestly, I was not expecting to find such a game-changer at the airport, but this lounge has completely redefined what it means to wait for a flight. If you’re flying through Vegas anytime soon and are a Capital One Venture X cardholder, you’re going to want to make a beeline for this spot. Trust me.

First Impressions: An instant upgrade

Stepping into the Capital One Lounge is like entering an upscale modern Vegas cocktail lounge. Spanning over 10,000 square feet, this space feels like a luxurious escape from the busy airport terminal. The lounge has a striking design, very contemporary, clean, and yet still Vegas. The city flair is woven throughout, giving it that signature energy, but with a touch of elegance. It’s clear that Capital One has designed a space that feels both fresh and functional.

Food & Drink: Options galore

Airport food tends to be an afterthought, often limited to pre-packaged snacks and bland offerings if you aren’t willing to shell out an arm and a leg at some airport restaurants. Not here. The Capital One Lounge elevates the entire dining experience. Their chef-curated menu changes regularly, with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that make for a much more enjoyable meal.

You’ll also find craft cocktails, local beers, and specialty coffees, making it the perfect place to unwind or gear up for your next adventure.

For anyone flying with a Capital One card that gets you access to this lounge, the food and drink offerings are included. It adds to the all inclusive feel of this very premium downtime until your next flight.

As a traveler who constantly needs to check in on work, I’m always looking for a space that’s quiet enough to get things done. The Capital One Lounge nails it. It’s perfect for catching up on emails or just zoning out for a few minutes before my flight. Plus, with super-fast Wi-Fi and plenty of charging stations, you’ll never have to worry about your devices running low even if you are just scrolling social media.

Who Can Access It?

If you’re a Capital One Venture X cardholder like me, the lounge is complimentary for you and 2 guests for free. Each guest after is an additional $45 per guest. For those who aren’t Venture X cardholders the lounge is also accessible with a Venture and Spark Miles card. But this will cost $45 to enter including $45 for each guest. The appeal that this lounge amongst 4 other already open Capital One lounges with more to come is a huge appeal to me when I got this card and to keep it as my main travel card.
